With over two decades of experience in the public sector and five years in the Not-for-Profit (NFP) industry, Sandra Tomasi brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Account Manager at Accounting For Good. With a background in both financial and performance audits, Sandra has developed a deep understanding of the operational, financial, and strategic challenges faced by NFP organisations, making her an invaluable asset to the team.
Before joining Accounting For Good, Sandra served as Internal Audit Manager for a large human services provider. There, she focused on risk management, controls, and providing business improvement advice across family, child, aged, and disability care services. Prior to that, she spent over 20 years in the NSW public sector, working across industries such as health, education, transport, and central government. Her extensive audit experience, covering both financial and operational performance, enables her to navigate the complexities of NFP accounting with confidence.
Sandra is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction, majoring in Accountancy and Management Studies. Her passion for using her skills to make a positive impact on society is what drew her to Accounting For Good. She sees her role as an opportunity to apply her extensive knowledge in accounting, analytics, and business to support organisations dedicated to creating lasting social change.
Sandra recognises that the NFP sector faces ongoing challenges in terms of resourcing and rising societal expectations, yet she remains optimistic due to the dedication and commitment of individuals working in this space. Outside of work, Sandra enjoys traveling to new destinations, engaging in meaningful conversations, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
